In honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we’re coming together to recognize and honor the contributions, cultures, and histories of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders in the United States. This month is all about celebrating the diverse and rich history of these communities and raising awareness around the challenges they face. 

Whether you're looking to educate yourself, participate in events, or support AAPI-owned businesses, there are so many great resources available online to check out. Here are ten to help you get started:

  1. Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center: Explore exhibitions, educational resources, and virtual events hosted by the Smithsonian Institution dedicated to the AAPI experience. 
  2. National Asian American Pacific Islander Mental Health Association: Access resources, support networks, and mental health services for AAPI individuals and communities.
  3. Asian Americans on PBS: Watch the fascinating documentary series that explores the history and contributions of Asian Americans in the United States.
  4. Asian Art Museum Online Collection: Immerse yourself in Asian art and culture with the Asian Art Museum's extensive online collection featuring artworks from across Asia. And if you’d like to visit the museum in person, it’s located at 200 Larkin Street in San Francisco.
  5. Center for Asian American Media: Watch independent films, documentaries, and digital media projects that highlight the diverse stories and experiences of Asian Americans.
